CEO, Anova Seafood bv

Willem Huisman is CEO and co-owner of Anova Seafood BV in The Netherlands. As an international supplier of both fresh and frozen fish for European retail and food service, Anova Seafood has established itself as a responsable tuna supplier for the European market. The company imports Indonesian and Maldivian handline yellowfin tuna and has successfully introduced MSC certified Albacore tuna from Fiji into European supermarkets.

Willem Huisman brings over 20 years of experience in the seafood business. He founded Anova Seafood in 1994 and was instrumental in developing the Lake Victoria Perch exports to Europe from its office in Nairobi. He returned to The Netherlands in early 2002 and was successful in setting up a business unit supplying frozen seafood to retail. Willem became CEO of Anova in 2014 and will develop the company further into a retail focused partner for  tasty and responsable seafood. He holds a BSc degree in Agricultural Business Economics from the Agrarisch Hogeschool in Delft, The Netherlands.
