Emily Howgate

Programme Director, International Pole & Line Foundation (IPNLF)

 

Emily Howgate is Programme Director for the International Pole & Line Foundation (IPNLF), a charity that aims to help coastal fisheries and communities thrive. Emily has a strong science grounding and during her career has worked for several conservation and sustainability organisations, most recently in London with SeaWeb and Sustain: the alliance for better food and farming. She was part of the leadership and advisory teams on projects such as the international Seafood Summit, World Fisheries Congress and the sustainable seafood sourcing of London 2012 Olympics. Emily is passionate about projects that nurture the value of people and community and has a keen interest in cultivating collaboration, hence working with IPNLF is a great fit. Emily holds a BSc in Ecology and an MSc in Sustainability and Responsibility with Ashridge Business School.
