Nicolas Dross

Nicolas DROSS is currently working as Head of the fisheries team at the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission in Brussels, where he deals with all the aspects of trade in fisheries products. This includes some on-going Free Trade Agreement negotiations, fisheries discussions at the World Trade Organisation and bilateral relations with the main EU fish trading partners. In addition to this, he lectures on EU-related issues at several leading Universities in France. He holds a Master degree in engineering from Supélec (1999) and a Master’s in Public Administration from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po, 2001). He also holds a Master’s in Economics from Paris XI University (2001) and a Master of Arts in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges (2004). Nicolas Dross has been working for 10 years with the European Commission. Previous work experience includes various assignments on issues related to international affairs including the representation of the EU in Regional Fisheries Management Organisations such as NAFO, WCPFC and IOTC as well as international organisations such as the OECD.
