Pierre Commère
Delegate General, Fish Processing Industry ADEPALE, France
Pierre Commère (55) graduated from the Montpellier Sup Agro as Agronomy Engineer, and from the Lyon High School of Commerce, in International Management.
Mr. Commère started his career in a seed business and then joined the FAO Seed & Plant Genetic Resources Unit (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations).
Since 1994, he is active in the French and European fish processing sectors as Delegate General for the Fish Processing Industry within ADEPALE (France), covering a large majority of French fish processing industry, among which canning, and especially tuna canning, constitute a staple part.
Mr. Commère is also Vice-President of AIPCE (EU Fish Processors Association), and since 2004, co-founder and Secretary of the General Assembly of EUROTHON, an EU wide Interbranch association covering EU National Tropical Tuna Producer’s associations as well as EU National Tuna Canner’s federations.
