Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani
Minister of Fisheries of Côte d'Ivoire
Native to eastern Côte d'Ivoire, the Minister Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani was born in Amanvi, in the department of Tanda, in 1963. He holds a bachelors degree from the Lycée Moderne Bondoukou, a degree of modern literature in applied linguistics at the University of Abidjan, and a certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude in Secondary Education (CAPES), modern languages option at the Ecole Normale Supérieure d’Abidjan in 1989.
Professor of French at the Lycée Léboutou Dabou from 1989 to 1995, he was elected Deputy to the National Assembly in 1995.
Continuously reelected Deputy until the current legislature, the outgoing President of the General Council of Tanda, the Minister Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani entered in the Government of Côte d'Ivoire for the first time in August 2002.
He took charge of the department of Animal Production and Fisheries. This until 2005, when he left the government. President of the Commission for Social and Cultural Affairs of the National Assembly and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister in 2008, he also holds three honors. Diploma Paul Harris Fellow of the best development officer in 2008 in United States Ambassador of Peace of the Universal Peace Federation in 2005 and Commander of the Order of agricultural Merit Ivorian.
Vice-President of the National Executive Bureau of the Movement of Students of Côte d'Ivoire (MEECI) from 1988 to 1990, the Minister Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani was Vice-Chairman of the parliamentary group PDCI-RDA 2000 -. 2002 is today 'Today politburo member of the PDCI-RDA.
Married and father of six children, Minister Kobenan Adjoumani Kouassi’s interests are in agriculture, animal husbandry, fishing, politics, literature and sport.
