Juan Ronco Zapatero
Mr. Juan Jose Ronco Zapatero was born in 1959 in Zaragoza, Spain. He holds a Bachelor degree and Master degree in Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven
(KUL), Belgium.
He is an Officer at the European Commission, DG of Fisheries since 1998, with the main responsibilities in international trade in fisheries products, including multilateral and bilateral trade negotiations. Prior to that, he was with EC-DG of Education and Culture (1994-1998), Research and Technology (1992-1993) and Unisys Belgium and SWIFT-La Hulpe (Belgium).
His mother tongue is Spanish, but he also speaks fluently in French, English and Dutch and active knowledge in Portuguese and Italian.
