Dan Horovitz
Dan Horovitz is an international trade legal Counsel. He advises his government and business clients on the rules and policies that apply to international trade in goods, including agricultural, fishery and processed food products, investments and services, at domestic (EU and beyond), regional (such as Free Trade Areas) and global (WTO) levels.
He often assists his clients in administrative proceedings aimed at import restrictions on tariff and non-tariff bases (including duty peaks and quotas, health and technically motivated barriers) and in conflict resolution before the Courts or regional (FTA) and WTO dispute settlement organs.
Dr Horovitz was appointed by the WTO as a panelist-arbitrator in member governments disputes, and has been elected by his peers as Chair of the Trade and Customs Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). He is an advocate member of the Brussels Bar and is also very active in acedemia and as author of numerous articles on international trade and competition in leading legal and business reviews world-wide.
