Hussain Hassan
Maldivian Minister of State for Fisheries & Chairman of IPNLF

Dr. Hussain Hassan is the Minister of State for Fisheries and Agriculture in the Maldives. He oversees the development and management of the fisheries sector. Dr. Hussain previously served as a Ministry director responsible for economic research and statistics. He also worked at Centre for Economics and Management of Aquatic Resources at the University of Portsmouth, UK. He is the Chairman and a trustee of the International Pole and Line Foundation. Dr. Hussain holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Fisheries from the Australian Maritime College, an MSc (with distinction) in Fisheries Economics, and a PhD from the University of Portsmouth.
