Pierre Commere (49) is Agronomy Engineer graduated from the Montpellier Sup Agro, as well as in International Management from the ESC Lyon (High School Of Commerce).
Mr. Commere started his career in seed business (plant material for planting) in a subsidary company of ELF / SANOFI.
After that period, he joined the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in the service of seed and plant genetic resources. Then he moved to the fishery sector where he is active since 1994, as Secretary General for several fish processing groups: fish canners, anchovy processors, salmon and trout smokers, surimi processors.
Mr. Commere is also active in AIPCE (EU Association Of Fish Processors, where he is Vice-President). He also developed international relations especially in the sectors of canned sardines with the creation of the CISAP (Committee International Sardina Pilchardus Walbaum) and in Tuna with the creation of EUROTHON in 2004.
