Jerome Broche
Team Leader - Trade in Fisheries, DG Trade – European Commission

Within the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission, Jerome Broche is in charge of all trade issues in the fisheries sector. Jerome and his team are involved in hands-on negotiations of free trade agreements currently on-going between the EU and its trade partners (eg, Vietnam, Mercosur, the Pacific region, etc.). They are also involved in the preparation of future negotiations, in particular with major trade partners such as the US and Japan. Jerome and his team's jobs also extend to WTO matters in the fisheries sector, as well as cross-cutting trade issues in the EU fisheries policy.

Before taking this position, Jerome held different posts within the Directorate General for Trade and the Directorate General for Competition in the European Commission. Jerome holds a business degree (ESSEC) and a law degree. He is a former member of the Paris Bar.
