Krishan Kent is the Chairman of the Sweden seafood association, a board member of AIPCE, National Swedish Food Advisory Board, and the FAO committee.

In 2024, Krishan Kent received the MSC award, a recognition as a driving force and spokesperson for blue sustainable growth.

With more than 25 years within the regional and global seafood arena, he brings deep insight alongside business acumen over trade, markets, and sustainability, especially from a Nordic perspective.

He bought his first tuna can in 1999 and has since admired the complexity, potential, and taste of tuna.

The Thunnus tonggol has a special place in his heart as in the mid-2000s, he worked along with Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP) and the Thai Tuna Industry Association (TTIA) on improving Thai tongol tuna fisheries’ management along with the Thai Department of Fisheries.
