Juan Luis Alonso Escuris, current Vice President of Jealsa, has been a key figure in the evolution of the company. Son of the founder, Jesús Alonso Fernández (Boiro, 1929-2022), he joined the company in 1983, assuming the position of Operations Manager after his training.

 

Throughout his career, he has visited the main tuna processing plants around the world and led the negotiation of raw material purchases in the main oceans. His knowledge of the sector has made him a benchmark.

 

One of his greatest achievements has been to promote responsible purchasing, quality and sustainability policies within Jealsa, integrated in the WeSea CSR program, thanks to which the company has strengthened its commitment to the environment and the ethical management of fishery resources.
