Luciano Pirovano covers the role of Sustainable Development Director at Bolton Food, and since 2017 he is also Chairman of the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF).

With more than ten years of experience in other leading Food & Beverage companies, he joined Bolton in 2003 as Marketing Manager for the Domestic Business, became International Marketing Director and has been Sustainable Development Director since 2009. In addition, in 2008, he took part in the creation of the ISSF as a founding member.

Luciano took part in the international expansion of the company business and thanks to this he acquired a deep knowledge of the main foreign markets and the tuna supply chain and this allowed him to work to improve its sustainability.

Luciano actively participated in the launch of the “Responsible Quality” project, the corporate social responsibility strategy of Bolton Food, obtaining some important results in the field of environmental and social sustainability, such as the multi-year partnership with WWF.
