Natalie Webster

Natalie came from a fishing family dating back to the “pole & troll” tuna fishery in San Diego in the early 1900’s. Her father and grandfather were “pole & troll” tuna fisherman. Jack Webster, Natalie’s husband is a “pole & troll” albacore fisherman and they are both co-founders of the American Albacore Fishing Association (AAFA). AAFA was formed to promote, market, stabilize and create a better future for the U.S. “pole & troll” fishery. She was involved in the application and full assessment for MSC Certification. She has actively pursued new markets, educated and promoted consumer awareness of the “pole & troll” albacore fishery.

She manages and facilitates the sale of the harvest of the “pole & troll” albacore fishery to markets around the world.

She has always believed that communicating the story of this fishery, fishermen, and their families, is essential in earning the support and recognition of consumers around the world.
