Guus Pastoor
President, AIPCE

Guus Pastoor is president of AIPCE, the European Federation of Processors and Importers/Exporters of Fish. AIPCE connects the different national organizations for fish processors and importers/exporters. Located in Brussels, it’s the frontal for advice to the EU-Commission.

Guus is member of the European Commission’s Advisory Council for Fishery Affaires, and board member of the Seafood Importers Alliance (SIPA). He is adviser to Fish Pool in Norway, as an expert in it’s surveillance board.

At the national level he is president of the Dutch Fish Federation (Visfederatie). He is also vice chairman of the Dutch Fish Board.

Born in Rotterdam, he graduated at Rotterdam’s Erasmus University with a degree in business and fiscal economics. He has been active in the fish sector since 1994 and took up the presidency of the Visfederatie in 2002. Prior to his work in the fish sector, he worked as a manager and business consultant in the dairy industry for several years. He also worked as a business consultant in the transportation sector, and started his career in the field of education.
