Borja Soroa

Borja Soroa Rodríguez-Escudero was born in Spain in 1973. Graduated in Economy in the University of Basque Country. He is a member of the third generation of the family owned business. After several years working in auditing and the automobile sector, he joined the company in 2003 as assistant to the General Manager.
He was appointed as General Manager in 2005. Pevasa is one of the oldest tuna fishing companies in Europe. It has been operating since 1961 and with a fleet of 6 modern purse seiners is currently operating on the Atlantic and Indian Ocean and is diversified in other tuna related businesses.
Mr. Soroa is also Executive Vice President of Pevaeche, one of the most important tuna fishing groups of Europe and the first to obtain a sustainable certificate for its tuna fisheries. He is also member of the Board of Directors of ANABAC, the most important Spanish tuna boat owner’s association.
